We are recruiting a new programme manager for our Swimming for Safety Child Drowning Prevention programme, to start immediately.

We require the following skills and experience:

- Fluency in Vietnamese and confident spoken and written English language skills. Ability to translate / interpret in meetings competently, and to translate documents; 
- Good interpersonal skills. You will need to be able to build rapport with stakeholders and feel confident about picking up the phone and speaking with and persuading people you may never have met before; 
- Experience of simple programme or project management; 
- Experience of making grant applications is desirable:
- Experience of budgets and simple accounting, keeping track of expenditure and reporting; 
- Experience of dealing with government authorities is desirable. 
- Communications experience including managing a website and using social media is highly desirable;
- An ability to swim is highly desirable and an understanding of the sport is desirable but not essential; 

The jobholder will be required to travel within Vietnam from time to time - sometimes for over a week at a time - and this requires some flexibility. Your costs will be covered.  

Although the role will be focused on Swimming for Safety, the job holder will be expected to carry out tasks related to the Hue Children’s Shelter and other ad hoc tasks as required.

The programme manager will work as part of a small, close knit and happy and supportive team and be based in our Hue office. 

The role will be for six months, with the usual one month’s probation.  But if successful we would hope to extend the contract, subject to funding.

Salary is available on application and will be paid monthly in VND.
